Looking to develop your paddling skills in White Water? Lee valley White water centre is a great venue for developing paddling skills but it good to get an understanding of how to paddlle white water with some essential skills first.
Whoosh Explore offer Introduction to White Water sessions and as a club we look to develop your paddling skills with regular trips and courses, including introduction to white water sessions, moving water trips and courses with British Canoeing (Paddle UK) providers to develop your skills. Getting out on first local rivers and then going out with the club to paddle some easier white water is definitely the way forward.
We can start your paddlesport progression into white water with flat water sessions at the Club as well as developing flat water skills on the River Stort and River Lee then as your developing we look at training sessions into moving water on the Legacy course at Lee Valley Paddlesports Club on a Wednesday evening.
We also link with a range of coaches on a Wednesday evening at Lee valley paddlesports club who help you to develop skills via several white water who offer white water skills and development sessions for the club. By working with your own specialist coach you can progress at your own pace, moving forward your skills at your own pace.
Getting better at white water can also mean getting better at a range of paddling skills ranging from swimming in moving water safely to white water safety and rescue as well as learning to roll and skills for moving the boat around, eddy hopping and surfing skills so there’s alway a new challenge to develop on the course.
Lee valley paddlesport club have just celebrated there 10th anniversary of paddling with some raft racing as well as offer a wide range of opportunities to get into slalom paddling, raft racing , recreational paddles and stadium paddling skills, with the club running a selection of paddling sessions from beginners In moving water to expert coaching in water water environments.
